A bit pricey for a highchair but very sturdy and good quality. The manual is not so easy to understand/follow.

using it for my 15 month old, she climbs up and down the chair, using it without the tray and the chair seems stable so far. one of the steps in the instruction manual was incorrect but with common sense you assemble it just fine.

Very hard to find a sturdy wooden chair these days, easy to assemble too - I did alone and under 2 hours. The safety belts are difficult to slot through the opening so I'm not concerned about them coming off. My chair in original colour (unpainted) had some rough edges though, I had to use a sand paper to smoothen it.

We bought this because we found our first choice Stokke way too pricey and I think it's not a bad chair at all. We were initially apprehensive when we read a safety issue review about the belt
coming off. It is actually not a safety issue as long as it is put in place properly. It is hard to put in for security. The child can seat with her feet touching the wooden foot rest. The seat grows with the child. The only real difference between this and Stokke is that this doesn't look as sleek, and the safety function is by using a belt instead of the Tripp Trap function. Overall my 6-month old is happy using this chair. We bought he padding, but used only the back part and not the seat. Cause if we put the seat padding, we will have to keep removing the belt from it's position whenever we need to wash it, and that we feel might be a safety risk. In case we don't put the belt back properly.
