Kneekers
There are many shoes on the market for infants, but your baby doesn’t yet move around by foot; they move around by knee!
Kneekers® slide onto your baby’s knees and protect them from getting scraped and sore. Babies typically crawl between 7 and 11 months of age and then practice walking for a few months after that, when falling to their knees is common. Kneekers® was designed to make crawling and learning to walk more comfortable for your baby.
The cushioned padding and protective outer shell cradles your baby’s precious knees to shield them from carpet burns, other rough surfaces, and abrupt falls. Kneekers® are also designed for style with a soft, woven elastic/cotton knit that will nicely compliment your baby’s outfits.
Style meets practical. Baby meets plush.

- Durable, machine washable and dryer safe
- BPA Free

FAQ
Do they only come in the chocolate color legging?
Kneekers® only come with the chocolate legging color. We will continue to accessorize the label/sole into different colors and patterns, but to keep the costs down for our customers and to allow frequent style changes, we will only manufacture them with the chocolate with white top and bottom stripe.
Is the knee "sole" comfortable on my baby's knee?
There is soft batting on the underside of the rubber disc (in between the sock and the disc) to add cushion to the baby’s knee.
What is the easiest way to put the Kneekers on my baby?
Kneekers® are slightly easier to put on than full-length leggings. That said, depending on how "squirmy" your baby is, it is best to experiment with different techniques. Each baby squirms differently, so we suggest you take the same technique that they use for putting leggings on. Generally we recommend having your baby in front of you with your legs straddling your baby’s legs. That way you are able pull the Kneekers on their legs while having your arms under the baby’s arms to ensure they stay supported.
Will it be hard for my baby to crawl on these?
During prototyping, our biggest concern was that the baby would find it heavy, cumbersome, possibly the rubber would stick on the floor making it harder to crawl, or generally uncomfortable, but all of these have proven to be the opposite. You can see from the photos on our website, how happy the babies were – in fact many of the baby models started to cry when we took them off! The rubber-like "soles" do not snag on carpet or tile, but will aide in traction when your baby pushes off with their knee - much like any other shoe will do.
Will my baby actually enjoy crawling on these?
If you put on a pair of shorts and crawl on tile with your bare knees you will see how uncomfortable it is. Imagine being a baby and not being able to communicate, “walking” all the time on your knees which are much more delicate and soft than ours and how painful that can be. Now your mom puts on something soft and cushioning and it’s a whole new world to explore… until you take them off. Like with the other products, the best result is to actually see the results on their babies. They will not only enjoy crawling with these, they will PREFER it!
Will these fit on my baby's legs properly?
Kneekers® have been tested a lot on many different babies’ legs during our original design process. They have been tapered so that the top (thigh) is slightly larger diameter than the bottom (calf). The elastic is made to stretch out for slight variation in leg size and to prevent the circulation concern, but is woven in between an outer and inner cotton layer to ensure that soft cotton is the only thing touching the baby’s leg. It is made to fit snug (otherwise they will slip off when crawling), but no more snug than other similar legging baby products, so they will not cut off circulation more than what you would expect in a sock product.
Will they be too hot on my baby's legs?
We make Kneekers® with 100% brushed cotton woven over threaded elastic. Much like with baby leggings, the weaving naturally spreads the fabrics when stretched allowing air to come in direct contact with your baby's skin. The brushed cotton inner and outer weaves overlap the elastic threading so that only the cotton comes in contact with your baby's skin and its surroundings. Although it has a snug fit to prevent them from falling down when your baby crawls, as noted earlier, the fit will be no different than what you would expect with leggings - both in added warmth and in fit, except Kneekers® are meant to only cover the area from mid-thigh to mid-calf. Crawl around yourself on the carpet and tile and see how your knees feel; now imagine how they would feel if your knees were as soft as your infant's.
Our promise is that the only time your baby will be upset is when you take them off!
